“Taqdeer,” meaning destiny, envelops us in a whirlwind of emotions through the conversational poetic rhyme scheme of Bait Baazi. Rashmeet Kaur’s powerful verses bring Bulleh Shah and Prabh Deep’s soulful spoken word to life, all set to the musical magic of Donn Bhat. The ethereal poetry and the folkmusic of “Takdeer Banayo Fakeer” sung by Sakur Khan Sufi and sons add the nuanced touch of rooted Mangniyar music, capturing the essence of our destiny – Taqdeer.
