9 Simple Exercises to Improve Your Vision

In today’s digital world, our eyes face constant strain from screens, causing blurred vision and discomfort. While it’s essential to have regular eye check-ups, there are also simple eye exercises you can incorporate into your daily routine to help improve vision naturally and reduce eye strain.

1. Palming

Palming is a relaxation technique that helps soothe the eyes. Rub your hands together to generate warmth, then gently place them over your closed eyes without applying pressure. This simple exercise can relax eye muscles, relieve strain, and enhance focus.

2. Blinking

Frequent blinking is often overlooked but is crucial for eye health. It helps to moisten and refresh the eyes. However, during extended screen time, we tend to blink less, causing dryness.

3. Figure Eight

The figure-eight exercise enhances eye flexibility. Imagine an eight lying on its side (∞) about 10 feet in front of you. Now, trace the shape with your eyes slowly for 30 seconds, then reverse direction.

4. Focus Shifting

Focus shifting is an effective way to train your eyes to adjust between different distances. Hold a pen or finger in front of your face. Focus on it, then shift your focus to an object 10-20 feet away. Repeat this process several times.

9. Diagonal Eye Movements

Move your eyes diagonally from the top right to the bottom left, and then from the top left to the bottom right. This exercise helps strengthen and stretch the eye muscles, improving flexibility.
